
Shopping addiction, or formally known as compulsive buying disorder (CBD), is the obsession with shopping and buying things that causes adverse consequences. Eighty percent of the people who are considered shopping addicts are females and the age group ranges from late teens to elderly women. They use their money, their family's money and credit cards in order to feed their addiction. This addiction is chronic and can have some major side effects if it is not stopped early on. Shopping addicts are usually two types of people: those who spend way beyond their funds or people who constantly think about making purchases and window shop daily.
